It’s April!
Happy April!
It’s almost been a full month since my book was released, and I’m still flabbergasted every time I hear another person tell me how much they love it, or leave a review somewhere. Not that I don’t think it’s a good book, it’s just I don’t expect people to love it as much as I do. I now have readers in Canada and Australia, which has me miffed but also overjoyed.
Not even a week after the hardcovers launched, a company from England swooped in to list it on Amazon for over its marked price of $26.99, which is a little heartbreaking to me. While I’m still fighting to make them remove their listing, it would seem I’m in a losing battle that lots of authors face. I care far more about reaching readers with words than padding anyone’s pocketbook, so it’s disheartening when a company comes in and lists my book for a higher price to make a bigger buck. Hardcovers are expensive to make and produce little in royalties. I released it because I know there are some who really enjoy a good hardback and dust jacket (like myself). So, if you see the book listed for more than $26.99, please don’t give that greedy business your hard-earned dollars. You can head over to Barns & Nobel’s website here, and get it for the right price!
Since there’s not much left to do with Your Life Will Have You Back except some social media posts, marketing, and keeping the website in good shape, I’m on track to release another book! I’ve made the decision to put out books as they’re ready instead of waiting a year in between. I refuse to wait 20 years to see the books I already have come out because it could exclude the ones I still intend to write. Life is short, so I’ll be publishing one after the next until I’m out of books. Sharing my insights of life through the pages of books is a passion I’ll never be rid of.
While I have a completed manuscript for the next book I intend to release, I had a lightbulb idea the other day, so I’m doing a quick rewrite of the ending. (It’s not quick, I’ll be rewriting half the book!😅) I’ll compare the two endings when I’m done to choose which one I’m going with. While I’m not a fan of spoilers, what I can tell you is, this one is an entirely different kind of book from my last. It’s a little darker, a lot more pages, and will hopefully keep you guessing wrong most of the way. 🤓 Don’t worry though, I still made room for a lot of love. There’s tough love, quiet love, and some crazy love coming in this book. Additionally, I do have the cover already done, and let me tell you, it’s incredible. It’s been torture not to share it with everyone, so I’m most excited to get this book on its way.
Well, I’ve got the end of another wonderful book to finish, so… ~Bye for now!
